Washroom Declared 2015’s Best

What does a public washroom say about the organization that maintains it?  We at the Gentlemen Plumbers believe that public bathrooms are a concrete sample of how a company feels towards it’s customers.  Cintas feels the same, and has been running a contest known as the Best Restroom Award here in Canada since 2010.

Last year, the title was awarded to the restrooms at 1000 Islands Duty Free on the Canada-US border in Lansdowne, Ontario.  Combining classic elegance with modern aesthetics, the winning washrooms feature bowl-style sinks, glossy granite countertops, and private toilet stalls.  When held up against the majority of public facilities that employ cold metal dividers riddled with wide gaps and bland interior design, the difference is readily apparent.

Now entering its 6th year in Canada, we at the Gentlemen Plumbers are watching intently to see who will take the honour of Canada’s Best Restroom this year.  Finalists are expected to be announced this summer, and we can only wonder if a bathroom here in Lethbridge will grab the judges’ attention.
